A table set for 32. Seasonal food, hands-on making, and permission to do nothing in between.

You used to make things. You used to cook slowly, get your hands in something, and lose an afternoon to a project with no deadline and no deliverables. Then life got full - not bad, just full - and the making stopped. This weekend is for getting it back.

Meet your chef

heidi finley

Every meal is cooked by Heidi, founder of Maven Meals, where she's spent years feeding people food that actually tastes like somewhere. At camp, she cooks the way she wishes more weekends did; slow, seasonal, and made for lingering.

iola gardens

A garden, a barn, a long wooden table, and a meadow that opens to the forest. Iola Gardens is the kind of Vashon Island hideaway that makes you forget what day it is.

Meet your makers

the artists

Each camp brings together a small group of working artists to teach what they love. This year: printmaking, jewelry, textile art, and more. All hands-on, all beginner-friendly, all yours to take home.
